This weekend, the team had to settle for two top-ten finishes at the MXGP of the Netherlands: Renaux finished eighth, Geerts – back from injury – tenth.

Geerts – who finished eleventh in Saturday’s qualifying race – has been facing some heavy setbacks. Nevertheless, the Belgian got a good jump out of the gate in the first moto. He was running sixth in the first turn, but was hit from behind and went down. Like his team mate Vlaanderen, Jago had to fight his way back through the field, from P30 to P17.
Jago had a strong start in the second moto and settled into seventh. The Belgian – who enjoys racing in the sand – held that position firmly. Late in the race, Febvre briefly passed him, but Geerts quickly fought back to reclaim the spot.”
Geerts: “This weekend has been a little disappointing. I crashed in moto one and I was stuck under the bike for a little while, and I also hurt my knee. Before the second moto, the physio worked on my knee and it felt good enough to line up. I had a decent start and a solid race for seventh, so that was a good end to the weekend.”
