A unicum in the history of the Kemea Yamaha Team: all three riders will participate in the Motocross of Nations in Red Bud, USA this weekend. Ben Watson (Great-Britain) and Jago Geerts (Belgium) will make their debut at the Nations, while Anthony Rodriguez (Venezuela) will make his third appearance. It’s the first time since 2010 (Lakewood) that the Motocross of Nations will take place on American soil.

Ben Watson

Team Great-Britain

“I’m really looking forward to this race. I’ve been at the Nations before as a spectator. There’s always a special vibe around this race. It will be a completely new experience for me as a rider. It was a long and tough season, but I managed to maintain that fourth place in the world championship. A great result. Now, the pressure is off. There’s no stress, I really want to enjoy this last race. But of course we want to try to get on the podium with Team Great-Britain.”

Jago Geerts

Team Belgium

“Being part of team Belgium in my rookie year: it’s a dream coming true. The Nations is a spectacular event, with always a lot of people. I’ve always watched it on television, and once – in 2012 in Lommel – live. The atmosphere is unique. I’m sure it will be a great experience. Our chances? We have a strong team, I have two experienced riders at my side. I’m sure Desalle and Van Horebeek can and will help me during the weekend. For sure, we must finish inside the top five. Even a podium is possible with this team.”

Anthony Rodriguez

Team Venezuela

“This will be my third participation at the Nations after Lommel in 2012 and Ernée in 2015. On both occasions, we couldn’t qualify for the A-final. This time I think we can manage to get in that final. Our team is much stronger than the previous years. So, a spot in the A-final is our goal. I’ve ridden in Red Bud two times before. It’s an amazing track, with a medium soft soil. I can’t compare it with one of the European tracks I’v been riding on this year. But I’m sure it will be great to race in the USA again.”
